Many of you who have been on this forum for some time remember Jeanne from NJ and her dog Angelo. Angelo was the September 2007 AIHA/IMHA Success Story at the Meisha’s Hope Web site: http://www.cloudnet.com/~jdickson/archives19.htm Jeanne loves taking photos of Angelo and her other dog and she submitted at least one of these photo’s to Dog Fancy Magazine for their “photo contest for great senior dogs”. I know this because when I opened the December 2008 issue the other day and started to look through it there was Angelo as the GRAND PRIZE WINNER on page 46. So if you get a chance check out this copy of Dog Fancy and see this great photo. Just a reminder to all that not only can dogs survive AIHA/IMHA, they can go on to live happy healthy lives. Jeanne wrote this caption to go with the photo: “Angelo is my heart dog. As his age slows down, it does not slow down his spirit and his will to live. He wakes up each day with a smile, ready to face the day. To Angelo each day is a celebration. And to us, each day is a gift.” May we all have that spirit no matter what our days hold. Hugs to all the canines from my little red-headed canine gal, Maddie and me.

That is great. I have been meaning to contact Jeanne to see how Angelo was doing. Angelo is indeed a Grand Prize winner in my book too. Congrats Jeanne and Angelo. Penny

Joanne -- thanks for letting us know. I'll have to get a copy to see. Angelo is a special dog, and like Penny, I have been thinking about him. Congratulations to Jeanne and Angelo for winning the Grand Prize -- I suspect the judges had a tough time choosing from all the entries, but Angelo obviously stood out for the special dog he is.
