Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - It's been almost a year

Saturday will be one year since losing Bailey to IMHA. Some days have been easier than others and not a day goes by that I haven't thought of him; at times with a smile, other times with tears. There are times I wonder what brought on his illness; was it something we did or could have prevented. We only wished we would have had more time to fight the monster, maybe we would have been able to save him?
Those two days seem like a blur now, but still we can recall so many details, all the way down to the weather that day. He was a remarkable little guy, and all we have to remember him is a box of photos; but he lives on in our memories and hearts. To those of you fighting the battle, to those who have lost their babies, and to those who have won, each of you are in our prayers.

My fingers are crossed that this links correctly since I've never used this photo source before.

I am very sorry for the loss of your precious Bailey, I think that we never completly get over the death of a of a pet, no matter how many years go by, we just learn to go on and I am sure that is what our pets would want us to do. The pictures of Bailey are so very cute and thank you so much for sharing them they put a smie on my face. Bailey looks like he loved to have his photo taken. Cherish those memories and I am sure Bailey will be in your heart forever. I know how you feel as I too have lost my Maggie in 2005 of cancer and still hardly a day goes by that I don't think of her, but Maggie will always be in my heart and I know Maggie would never want me to be sad.
My golden Ginger was diagoised with AHIA in late Aug. and I have a feeling she is going to be one of the very lucky ones and beat this terrible disease, we just take one day at a time.
