Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - immunization and aiha
| My dog got her shots one month before she got Aiyanna. She died the day after we noticed symptoms. Does anyone else have a diagnosis with recent immunizations? |

| Kaye, with Aiyanna, I am assuming you mean Auto immune hemolytic anemia? There are many cases where the immunizations preceded the diagnosis. I don't think however that anybody has a hard rock prof that immunizations cause AIHA. But just talk to some people on this forum who will never again immunize unless absolutely necessary. We all know that there is a very strong connection. Immunizations weaken the immune system and a weakened immune system can trigger an auto immune disease. I am so sorry you lost your dog to this awful disease. I too had my dog over immunized. I wanted to do all I could to protect him from all the awful diseases my vet talked about. Little did I know I actually made him sick..... | So sorry you are going through this. My Aiyana, a 12 1/2 year old Golden Retriever did get vaccine induced AIHA. Her vaccines were given August 1 2008, she started showing signs of not being right in Sept., was finally diagnosed in October and we lost her in December. My Vet is positive hers was definitely vaccine induced. |

| Kaye, My dog died a week ago today from this illness and it took only 3 days to kill him. After doing alot of research and from information on this forum I am almost positive that he got it because I vaccinated him too soon. He got his shots the beginning of March and beginning of May. So sorry for your loss. Amy |

| It just infuriates me that my dog died due to her immunization. I wish I had been warned We have two eleven year old dogs left. They will not be immunized. I am just sad and mad |
