| Just wanted to share a site I found. http://www.malamutehealth.org/articles/immune.htm It's geared for Malamutes but has good info on Immune disorders and Nutrition. I have been reading elsewhere about a raw diet. I like this site on raw- http://www.rawdogranch.com/ -but not sure I should change his diet right now...Does anyone have any additional knowledge about dietary changes that could help with AIHA? |

| Hi Allison Talk to your vet about a change of diet. I considered changing Georgie's diet when I read about the raw meaty bones diet. My specialist vet was against this. She explained that most vets would be purely because they are funded/supported by pet food companies when they are training. She explained that as Georgie needed a bland diet of rice and chicken that I could be getting into allsorts of problems if I switched to raw especially as her immune system was already compromised. I trusted her and chose not to. I still do not regret this even though we lost Georgie due to complications. Hope that is some use Steph |
