Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - I lost Ollie last night

I am saddened to report I had to put Ollie down last night due to a blood clot that developed in his lungs, he was suffering. It was eight years ago to the day that I got him. He was truly a Thanksgiving kind of dog, he changed my life and affected others around me in ways I didnt think possible when I got him. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and best wishes to all your pets.

MJ, I am so sorry to hear about Ollie's passing. I can't imagine how badly you are hurting, and I know that both you and Ollie gave it everything you had in the short time he was ill. He was a brave little soul, and you were an amazing mom to do everything you could to save him. I know he will be missed. MJ, I am so sorry. It is never easy to lose a beloved furkid but a loss from this disease seems to have a unique pain of its own. Oh, MJ, I'm so sorry. I lost my beautiful baby almost a week ago. It makes for a tough Thanksgiving. You have a special place in my heart with Ollie being a black lab. If you would like a friend to walk with down the grief path, please drop me a line.
