Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Holly's Blood Work Nov 9, 2009

I am almost afraid to say this to loud, but I do want to shout it from the rooftops! Our Holly is finally a success story!

She has been on no drugs at all since Sept 1, 2009 and yesterdays blood work came back showing her PCV at 56.4 !!!! Even her ALK came down another 136 points at 258. So after 2 years,8 months we can finally breath with relief. Next month we will celebrate her 5th birthday with much happiness!

To all you still fighting or just starting out, please don't give up. It was a long hard and expensive battle for Holly and us, but she made it and I truly believe it was from the help of everyone here on this board. Without all of you we would have never made it in helping her. So I THANK ALL OF YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!

Thanks,
Linda

Linda, I am so happy for both you and Holly. Good to hear that she's off all the drugs also. That's a huge step to overcome. Can't wait to get there some day myself.
You and Holly are an inspiration to all of us. I'm sure with your care her ALK will finally get to where it's supposed to be with time.
