Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Holly and thyroid test
| Does anyone know what kind of thyroid test I should ask the vet to do. Our internist sent a fax today and said we should have thyroid test done on Holly and before I make the appointment just wondering. I know there are different kinds Thanks, Linda |

| Linda, Get the FULL thryoid panel done. This has many elements in it. We have this test done yearly on our Maddie and send it to MSU (Michigan State Univeristy) which is thought by many vets to be the GOLD Standard for thyroid testing. |

| I have no idea what Antech does since we have used MSU for thyroid testing for years. But I did find this page on the Antech Web site http://www.antechdiagnostics.com/clients/antechNews/1998/11-98.htm that you might want to check out. Hopefully the Antech thryoid test contains all these elements. |

| yes i would contact dr. dodds for the thyroid test, she is very well versed in that area and could tell you exactly what u need |
