| Patrice or whoever knows how to dispense Azathioprine 4MG/ML Suspension. Bottle contains 60 ML Directions say to: Give 1 ml by mouth once daily. Problem is I was given a 1 ML syringe. Do I only give 0.1? It is the first number on the syringe. Tori only weighs 9.5 lbs. The vet is closed and I didn't know I would be confused when I picked it up earlier. Thanks! | Cindi, I assume you have been given a syringe device that does not include a needle? It has a round plunger on the top and a small hole on the other end? Check the markings carefully. Most liquid medicine is measured by teaspoon (tsp) or milliliter (mL) or cc. 1 mL = 1 cc Check this photo out of this oral syringe: http://www.oempromo.com/product/Syringes/2/2-Tsp-Oral-Syringe-With-Adaptor-295674.htm Do you see where the 1mL mark is near the top? You can see that 1mL is not very much. So even if yours is a bit different, you know that it is not very much. When you load this with the medicine, insert the tip in the medicine and pull the plunger up so that it is a little above that marker for 1mL. Hold it up to your eye and determine how close the black (or white) plunger mark is to the 1mL line. Gently push the extra back into the container until the marker is at the 1mL line. This will give you a dose of 4mg. That is not very much. The recommended dose I am finding for pets is 1mg per lb or in your case nearly 10mg. But don't give any more than you have been prescribed. Does this help? my best patrice |

| Here is a picture of many different sizes of oral syringes with 1mL marks in different places depending on the barrel size. Compare what you have to these. http://www.bluffcitywholesale.com/diagnostics/doctor_office_intro.php?item_type1=Oral%20Syringe&bc=Oral%20Syringes |

| Thanks, Patrice. Yes, it is 1 ml added to her others. So far her energy level is good and gums are getting pinker every day. Blessings, Cindi & Tori |
