| I have stayed off this site for many various personal reasons. My heart was broken when Jack, my beloved Golden Retreiver, passed away this past August due to Evans Syndrome. I have read of the heart break and sorrow of you dog owners in your loss. I most likely have pissed off quite a few folks on this site but you know what-at least I AM HONEST in my feelings. And I say what I feel, and what is in my heart, not what is politically "correct". This site has helped me get through my sorrow, these folks on here are so compassionate. I will never get over the loss of Jack,BUT I do have another dog, Foxy Lady who actually is smarter, quicker than Jack was. Jack was a true pure soul, an unblemished being, a dog without sin, so much like all the others on here that have passed on. He loved everyone and was so sweet to all he met. He just was not all that healthy even from the beginning. I miss him and his loss is like a hole in my heart.... However, I do have Foxy, a little rescue dog I took in. She is quite the Lady. Nothing like Jack but in several ways, a lot like him. She isn't sweet like he was. Jack loved everyone, Foxy only loves me but she will tolerate folks she thinks are OK. LOL What is it about dogs that makes them so special and binds them to our hearts? I feel such a bond with Jack even tho he is gone, it is very spiritual. This little new girl, Foxy, she is also very special and I have Another bond with her. Dogs have a special spirit and connect with those humans who feel the same. I think God gave dogs special gifts to give us humans so we can know our hearts feelings. OK 'nuff said.............. |

| Hi Mary, good to hear from you! I am so glad you found an other soul mate. Foxy sounds like a very special girl. I think it is good that she is not like Jack, she does not need to compete with him, she is her own very special girl! Best wishes, Brigitte & the poodle boys |
