Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Hair loss on the hindquarters?
| I noticed tonight quite a bit of hear coming out of Wylies back leg tonights. She is hsort haired and I could pull clumps out. funny when I combed nothing, but taking my fingers,, lots. any thoughts on this? Laurie |

| Hi Laurie, Although Tiggs hasn't been on the Pred very long, my older dog took a Pred based drug for a few years due to allergies...eventually, the hair started to fall out of her (different than when it did because of her allergies). The Vet said that Pred can cause Iatrogenic Cushings disease, and one of the symptoms is allopecia (hair loss). Have them check for this. Good luck, melissa |
