Hi Kelly,

I am not in need of meds but I just wanted to say I think you are an incredible person, as are the others on here that offer their pup's meds. To be going thru such heartache and still want to help other owners with their dogs is very heart-warming.That is one of the many reasons this forum has been so special to me for the past 7-8 yrs. In the past 2 yrs I have lost two dogs....1 AIHA boy (he was still in remission at time of death) and 1 non-aiha boy just 3 weeks ago to "old age" related issues.

I hope you are coping ok. It indeed takes time. Please be kind do yourself during the grieving process. Coco would want it no other way!

Hi Kelly
What a very generous offer and I am sure Coco would be so proud of you. If you don't have any takers on this forum you might want to call a dog rescue or SPCA in your area, with the economy the way it is they might be able to use it, especially the Baytril.

Hoping your heart has begun to heal.

Teresa and Cheryl,
Thank you for your kind words. It has indeed been very hard and I still sometimes breakdown in tears, I keep thinking I'll wake up to find her creeping up on my bed and Max and Tito her buddies still sometimes act like they are looking for her which breaks my heart but we keep busy and I feel that by helping others I will be helping myself. So my best wishes to you and if you hear of anyone needing the meds let me know, if not I will call our humane center here.

Hi Kelly

Please know I am thinking of you - good for you for offering the medications. I dont think I can ship drugs overseas, and I offered them to my vet for someone who may not be able to afford them, but I was the only one on their books with this illness.

The sudden flowing of tears resonates with me also - like now when I talk about it, or allow my mind to wander to memories - memories of when Riley was well, with such a tough attitude - he didnt know he was a little dog!

Take care of yourself, and enjoy Max and Tito.

Hello Silka, It was good of you to try to donate at your vets (have you thought about an animal shelter)I have wondered about the legalities of shipping the meds but since they are pet meds hopefully its ok here in the states. Guess I'll find out soon!!lol. As far as the tears go I embrace them as I know they are part of the grieving process. What kind of a dog was Riley? Coco was a Vizula/lab mix and she was hilarious, the smallest dog we had and controlled the other two with an iron paw. Max is a lab/rott mix and Tito is 3/4 pit and 1/4 lab. She never realized she wasn't a lap dog and we called her the creeper as she would start at the edge of the bed or couch with her head on it then a paw, then two paws and before you knew it she was in your lap. She loved being outside running and was so much faster then our other two fatties. It was too funny watching them try to keep up. It is memories like this that make my heart warm and ache at the same time. I am sure you know how that is and I pray for all of us who have lost a best friend that the time comes soon that we remember them with only a warm heart. I'll be thinking of you..Kelly, Max and Tito

Just reading about your tears makes my eyes tear up. Such a hard thing.

I think we should all find a place to post pictures of our babies. Are either of you on any of the groups on facebook? I would love to see a photo of Coco, Max, Tito, Riley and all of the dogs here on the board. Put a face to the names.

Kelly thanks again for the meds. I will let you know when they get here.

Jaime,
I haven't joined any AIHA groups yet but I do have a myspace(Kelly Mullenix or princessmullenix@yahoo.com) I have some pics of the babies on there. I really think its a good idea to open a facebook page for the pics of our babies. Let me know if you need the Baytril and I'll keep in touch..Kelly

I put some pictures of Scruffy (lost at 9 months of age) on the facebook IMHA page. The two sites have an albumn for pictures. I felt a little sad seeing his pictures there but nice to know that he has some recognition. Julie.
