Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - For Molly and Oakley

Molly, I am so glad you came here and hope you continue to do so. My deepest sympathy for you and your loss of sweet Oakley. I sit here and cry for the pain you feel. Many of us here have recently experienced the terrible loss and know all too well the pain you are feeling and are still in the grieving process ourselves. Knowing that Oakley did not suffer and have to endure the never ending battle against this horrible disease is a small consolation at this time, but take solace in the fact that you had good times right up until he went to the Rainbow Bridge.
Oakley has many new friends there to greet and play with him. As you stay here and share your grief with us you will hopefully realize that we hurt collectively and you are in our hearts and prayers.

God Bless to you and Oakley........may you find comfort and peace in your soul knowing that you will again run and play with Oakley when you meet on the Rainbow Bridge someday.

Molly,

I am so very sorry to hear of the death of your most beloved Oakley. Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss. When you feel up to it, I hope you will visit the Loss & Grief page at the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Web site

http://www.cloudnet.com/~jdickson/loss.htm

This page was written with input from those who have lost their dogs to AIHA/IMHA and contains many resources that will be helpful to you as you travel along the loss & grief pathway.

Once again my deepest sympathies to you on your loss. Be assured you are in my thoughts and prayers during these most difficult days.

Molly,
I am very sorry for your loss. The swiftness of this awful disease is so painful. I hope in the coming days your pain will lessen and your memories of Oakley will bring a smile to your face.

I just want to say thank you so much for the kind words! Like I said I had never heard of this disease until last Friday. I'm very bitter because I feel like I have been ripped off.....I know Oakley is in a good place, it's just frustrating to know that no matter what I do, I know I can't ever see him. My thought and prayers are with you all!

Molly,

The anger is just as legitimate as the grief when your cherished friend is suddenly gone...and all your feelings have permission here to have a voice.

We truly understand and mourn and protest with you! Life, however, may have robbed you of Oakley's physical being but it can never take from you the soul and spirit that made him your Oakley. Those will be yours to hold close forever.

Warmly sending you tender support,
Cheryl (and always Barkley)
