| Hi Brigitte, Really! You live in CR too!? Small world! I don't post on the board very often anymore but I check in daily. Our vet is Helen Kwong at Merecroft Vet Clinic. Absolutely love her! Who is your vet? We have 1 AIHA survivor shih tzu/maltipoo female named Brindle who will be 8 years old this summer. She was diagnosed with AIHA just over 4 years ago and made a terrific recovery and has been med-free ever since. She is bouncier now than she was before she was sick. We suspect that she had AIHA at a low level for quite a long time before she became very sick and was diagnosed. We also had a maltipoo/bishon male named Dudley who passed away after struggling with ITP. It was horrible but Helen and her staff were wonderful throughout. He actually passed away at Helen's because he had been "hospitalized" at that point and she would take him home with her at night. We live in the Rockland area. How about you? I will read back over your posts to come up to speed with your pup's situation. Christina |
