Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Dunes update 6/10

Father's Day weekend last year, 2007, was when Dunes was first diagnosed. It really has been a roller coaster.

She's difficult to wean off of meds. Down to 20 mg pred and 100 mg Atopica with Imuran EOD.

She ate two boxes of pill pockets-bags and all plus two bottles, including bottles, of vitamins and her PCV went from 37 to 39.3 this last week.

She's always hungry and heavier but it's been a year and OBVIOUSLY wants to live.

Over the last year she's eaten, chocolate, 3 1/2 lbs of raw pork, bags and bottles, etc. But she's lining-hats of to all-especially josh!!!! Sway!!! Keiko!!!!!!

Joe -- congratulations on Dunes' continued progress. She is a special girl, and you are a lucky guy with a big soft spot for Dunes. So glad to hear that Dunes is doing well in handling IMHA.

Joe,
Glad to see you post. It sounds like Dunes has been a handful but I am sure that you still find yourself smiling no matter what she gets in to. Keep it up Dunes.

Bottles and all? And her numbers rose? Hmm, may have to try that;)LOL! Hungry? Heavier? Yup, know that one but i can live with those!
I am so happy that Dunes is doing well and passing that first anniversary! Yippee! Whatever you are doing, you are doing the right thing. I'm so happy for you both!
