Took Dues for a PCV again-was back to 36. This morning she woke and was limping. I've noticed a swollen leg-any thoughts or advice? My vet is outm of town as is the specialist-It's going to drive me over he edge. Put some ice on it-it went down quite a bit.

Joe -- Monster has had a swollen leg since the middle of July. Her swelling is due to infection within that particular leg and paw. In fact, she lost most of her rough parts of her pads because of the infection. Our vet has had us keep it wrapped at all times with a non-stick bandages on the open areas, coated with EMT get (I swear by this stuff!), wrapped then by cotton roll, and finally Vetrap on the top. I had to soak her foot/leg twice a day and rewrap. Just today, I've let her walk around the house without the "boot" on her foot for the first time since the middle of July. I do see a little swelling and plan on wrapping it for the night. Good luck, let me know how it goes. Jenelle & Monster

Thanks-The local vet who was filling in had me put ice on it and then give her an extra prednisone that day. It went away so far!!!
