Today is a double milestone for Ernie. He's been 6 months med free and never been healthier. It's also his 5th birthday, the birthday we never expected him to be around to celebrate. Since his illness he seems to have changed, he was always a happy little lad, now even more so. His enthusiasm for life (and his ball) is endless - kinda makes me wonder if on some level he knows how close he came to not making it. My thoughts are constantly with those still fighting this horrible illness and in honour of Ernies birthday I've made a donation to Meisha's fund. Sue

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERNIE! And congratulations to you and Ernie. Sue, that is just wonderful news. Thanks for sharing - it certainly helps to hear these types of stories when you are wringing your hands and feeling helpless and overwhelmed. Jeanne & Matilda

Sue, A big hug and Happy Birthday to Ernie. I keep thinking about that video you posted and can see him running around totally enjoying every minute of his life. He is very lucky to have such a great doggie Mom. May there be many more celebrations. Penny
