We were able to bring home Daisy today!!! The vet has her on 40mg of Pred and 200mg of doxycycline. Her Platlets are up to 103K and RBC is 38. We are still waiting for the tick panel and other blood tests to come back but the vet thinks the ITP/IMHA is being caused by allergies. Everytime she has a relapse it is always aroung this time so it seems to be seasonal. Vet suggestions once she is stable and off meds that i take her to an allergist and have her tested to see what she is allergic too. Than treat the allergies and maybe she wont relapse. I take her back in 14 days of course unless something happens. Finally some good news and moving in the right direction. Daisy and I thank you for your prayers and help As we all know we aint out of the woods yet but it is a glimmer of hope.

| Hi Tina I am so happy Daisy is home, it must be so nice to have her back with you. My Golden Ginger has had several relapse too and we are thinking the cause maybe removing the prednisone. Maybe Daisy can never be one of those dogs that are med free and she might need to be on a low dose a few times a week. I hope Daisy continues to improve and is back to her old self in no time. | Welcome home Daisy! Thats good news Tina for everyone - they are great numbers as well, and also good that you may have some answers for whats going on with Daisy. Good luck to you too Cheryl, with Ginger - I didnt realise there had been several relapses - how stressful! |

Tina, That is fantasticnews for Daisy! Interesting thought on the allergies as a cause. I posted on 2 weeks ago about Wylie with ITP only, no anemia, I suspect tick since she responded so well and fast to the antibiotics, she went thru 54 to 449 in 4 days. Laurie and Wylie

Tina, I am sure being home will do wonders for Daisy (as well as Mom) Hopefully you can find out what is triggering the allergies. Penny

Dear Tina, I am so glad Daisy's numbers are better and she is home (she would be very happy about that!). I hope you can get her allergies under control - it certainly sounds like they might be the culprit of these relapses. Good luck for continued improvement, Sam and Millie.

Tina, great to hear you have Daisy home now! That's awesome to hear! The numbers you stated sounds great but just try not to get ahead of yourself with med reductions etc. Seeing an allergist would be a very good idea! Hope it helps. Keep us posted with updates on how Daisy is doing. My thoughts and prayers are with her. Johnny & Tessy
