Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Cyclosporine/100mg/30pills/$80.00

FYI....I have not checked out Costco prices, however I found that you can join Walgreen's "W" program for the family rate of $35.00 per year and get generics at even bigger discount prices. Brandy is 63 pounds and is currently taking 200mgs per day of cyclosporine. (100mgs, twice per day). On the "W" program, I can buy a box of 30 pills (100mg) for $80.00. IVAX Pharmacutical is the ones she takes. By the way, between the prednisone and the cyclosporine, her levels have come up to 39 and at one time she was below 14. We are supplementing her with Marin for her liver, vetmedin for her heart and Zentonil (I think that is also for her liver.) I also give her a holistic whole food supplement called BioPrep. She was diagnosed Aug 15 and after a bad stretch seems to be doing great.

I hope this helps.

Hi Deb,
Sierra is also taking (for the last year+) the IVAX brand and it's working well. Also have used: Gengraf, Eon & Sangstat.

Glad to hear that the BioPrep is doing well for Brandy also. I won't use it as Sierra is (knock wood) and has been stable for quite some time now (no "rocking the boat" in this household). However, it's very good to hear the someone is actually using it with possibly good effect.

39 is Great! Keep up to good work Brandy! (It took Sierra 5 months to get to the high 30's)
