Three months ago today we were diagnosed with IMHA and have gone through all of the nastys. I certainly realize that Cooper and I have a long way to go but very pleased that todays reports are his best yet. His PCV is at 39, HCT 37.2, HGB 12.9, RBC 4.7, WBC 15.5. Superchem Panel ALT 94, ALK 306, GGP 34, Platlet count 409, Neutrophils 14415, and RETI's 2.0 & 94000. Some of these results are still in the HIGH catagory but are much better than previous test results. He has been at 30mg Pred. and 25mg Aza for the last two weeks. In the week we will take a PCV test, and in two weeks another Superchem panel. If the results warrent we will reduce Pred. to 20 mg and keep Aza at 25mg. Then wait 3-4 weeks before considering the next reduction. Ron & Cooper

Fabulous news Ron, so glad to hear Cooper is improving and moving along slow and steady. Hoping you get to another reduction if all looks good! melissa and tiggs

Ron, great news! I am so glad it is happening for Cooper. It is such a slow process, but you are heading in the right direction. I found with every reduction, Kahlu got more energy. I am sure that will happen for Cooper too. Keep doing what you are doing and he will be in the "normal" range pretty soon. Kahlu is doing the happy dance for Cooper! Best wishes, Brigitte & Kahlu

Brigitte Cooper's "big brother" Kahlu has been a great inspiration for the last two months and it is our continuing commitment to follow in his pawprints. Ron & Cooper

Ron & Cooper That is very good news!!! It sounds like your vet is doing the med. reduction very slow which I think is the correct way to go. Give Cooper an extra treat from Cheryl & Ginger.
