Never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe when we were fighting our way through all the pitfalls of IMHA that someday we would be able to announce that Cooper fought the battle and WON. February 28th,2009 he was diagnosed with IMHA, The first four months were crazy before he started to turn the tide. For the next nine months all medications were gradually reduced to zero. And I am happy to say that March 7th we get the opportunity to celebrate his 1 year anniversary of being completly med free. Absolutely NO trace that he was ever sick at all. This board with all of its unbelievable contributors played a very instrumental part in Cooper's recovery and our entire family will be eternally grateful. Ron & Cooper

Dear Ron, It shows that you can never give up hope! How wonderful that you can celebrate Cooper's success. I remember us going through desperate times together and our dogs being of similar age. Of course it makes me sad, that Kahlu did not make it. But like I say so often, sometimes it is just not meant to be. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY happy for you! I guess Cooper still had to do some work here while Kahlu was done:) I wish you and your family many more happy and healthy years together! Best wishes, Brigitte & the poodle boys

Ron, What wonderful news. I am sure the messages that are posted to celebrate a dog's recovery from this terrible disease must give hope to the ones that are still fighting. I hope you have many many more years with your boy. Hugs to all of you. Penny
