Sunny is constipated since I changed his diet to chicken and rice. Any suggestions? He has really taken a turn for the worse this week. He is losing muscle quickly. I guess the drugs are getting to him. Thanks! Leslie

Leslie, Organic canned pumpkin, not the kind that you use for baking, but the raw version of it. It is suppose to help with constipation and/or diaharra Sorry Sonny is not feeling good this week and yes unfortunately the drugs to wear them down. Linda

Yes, I agree with Linda that pumpkin will do the trick. I have had to use it on my other dogs (not my AIHA dog) in the past and it works like a charm. Good luck to you! deb and Duck

Thanks Linda and Debbie, How much pumpkin should I give him? He weighs 50 lbs. I don't want to overdo it and give him diarrhea.

And does the canned pumpkin work for the softie/diarhea poops too? Tiggs is having the opposite problem...I'd love it if the canned pumpkin worked both ways! Hope Sunny's tummy feels better soon.

tylosin powder really helps for dogs that have runny stools... ive had sway on it since last year. also, might want to look into forti-flora made by purina, to add to sunny's food... that will also help
