Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Coffee Meeting with MAF President today

I had a meeting with Morris Animal Foundation President/CEO, Dr. Patricia Olson, her sister-in-law, Marlene, and MAF Trustee, Janice Peterson today.

We spent a good deal of time discussing the Meisha's Hope Fund and plans for it in the future. The MH Fund is truly respected at MAF and that is because of it's wonderful donors, many of whom post to this forum.

You can view a photo from this meeting at this URL (sure hope this works)

Thanks to all those from this forum who donate to the Meishas's Hope Fund at MAF:

I am convinced that together we WILL find answers to the many questions that surround AIHA/IMHA

Joanne,
Very nice picture. It is always nice to put a face with a name. I have received many a note from Dr. Olson. I have enjoyed every conversation I have had with the people who represent MAF. I know a lot of people on this board are still struggling with their fight and the dire costs involved but I hope in the future they will also consider making a donation to Meisha's Hope. I just received my Animal News from MAF and even though it has been 3 years since I lost my girl it brought a smile to see her picture in it thanks to Evi's (Devon/Buddy's Mom) kindness. I also enjoy seeing Brenda's dear Wiley in every edition.

p.s. I think twitter ought to find a better abreviation for their links. I don't think any of you look like "twits" (just kidding.) have a great day.

Joanne -- thanks for posting the picture, which says volumes about the regard that MAF has for the Meisha's Hope Fund and for you, the driving force behind the fund.

I always look to see the memorials on the back spread. You're right that our dear Wiley is in each edition. And I saw Salome and Truman and another IMHA dog in that section, although I cannot remember the name right now. We will always love and honor our dear dogs who fought so hard and showed such courage, devotion, and love.
