| Hi everyone, There's been soooo much sadness and loss with this disease lately, I thought some good news might help others still "fighting the fight"....Cody had a great Vet visit 2 days ago.....his MRSA staph infection has finally healed, his diabetes is getting under control, his PCV is stabilized between 36-40.....he's not needing to drink nearly as much water because the diabetes is improving, so no more peeing accidents in the house for now ( he didn't have a bladder infection....just drinking tons of water ). He's taken an interest in my puppy Chrissy for the first time....is playing with her, and my 2 other dogs too. His appetite is great, and stools and urine normal.Overall, he's improved ALOT....key things for his progress I feel were increasing his insulin to right dose, clindamycin for his leg infection and the Forti-Flora pro-biotic for his immune system. While Cody can't be cured of this, at least ,for now, he's headed in the right direction. I hope this post energizes those feeling DRAINED from this nightmare of AIHA......best wishes and prayers to all and your wonderful dogs.....Tammy and Cody P.S. we're just keeping him on the Prednisone for the AIHA, and will begin decreasing it soon, but very gradually... |
