| I just wanted to let you know that I took Canyon to an internal medicine specialist yesterday and we got great news! Her PCVs have gone up to 37. I am so excited. After writing to this board on Saturday, we started reducing her Prednisone by 25% to 60mg and her PCVs still were up from 32.5 the week before. Either her Arithroziapan started kicking in, the reduction in Prednisone helped or a combination of both. The Dr. said that we will continue to lower her prednisone every two weeks unless her levels fall. She said we wouldn't see a change in her Cushing's until we get her down to 10 or 20 mg per day. That is still two months away - but I am so excited by the news! Another interesting thing the doctor said was that even if Canyon's PCVs were in the mid-30s range, Canyon wouldn't notice unless she was climbing high mountains. I am happy with that, as long as we can get her Prednisone down! Yeah - Happy Dance! Thank you for your advice on this site! I have followed it twice and both times with great results! Shana |

| Shana. Great news! Just be careful of reducing too quickly so Canyon doesn't suffer a relapse. Best to you both. Penny |
