| There have been so many unanswered questions about immunity on this list lately that I thought about writing something to help people understand. I sat in the tub for over an hour Saturday night re-reading Dr. Dodds paper on Canine Immunity and I realized that she says it best, better than anyone else as far as I am concerned. That doesn't mean that it is necessarily an easy read. It does take some concentration to read. If you don't have a medical background you might find some of the words hard to understand. However, I hope everyone will make an effort to read through it. I suggest that you have www.wikipedia.org open on your desktop as you read this. When you reach a word you don't understand, drop it into the search engine and read the entry. Or alternatively put it in google and see what comes up. I just wanted to thank the Canine Epilepsy Guardian Angels for hosting Dr. Dodds paper. Here is the link: http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/ImmuneSystem.htm Patrice |

| Patrice, Thank you for making reference to this most excellent article. This article is so important that many Web sites have hosted it. I have had a link at Meisha's Hope to this article from the great dane Web site for years: http://www.gdhfa.org/ImmuneSystem.htm if anyone does not get a chance to read this article now you can always go to the Meisha's Hope Web site http://www.cloudnet.com/~jdickson/ and click on the words "immune system and disease resistence" in the section titled "what is the cause of autoimmune hemolytic anemia? This hotlink will take you to the Dr. Dodds article |
