Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Callie is at peace

I posted this dreadful news on the previous entry. Just not thinking straight. Thank you ALL for your support and encouragement during this fight. We are inconsolable right now.

Dear Valerie,

I am so sad that this happened and so quick. It was good you were with her to hold her. She knew she was loved and is now at peace.

My sincere condolences,

Valerie, I'm so sorry to hear about Callie. You're right, IMHA is a horrible disease. It's so hard when they go so quickly; we had 36 hours from diagnosis to gone with Bronwyn, so I know what you mean when you say you're not thinking straight right now. At least you were with her; know that she's running free and healthy at the bridge now. I'll be thinking of you. Hang in there.

Dear Valerie and Family
I was deeply sadden to read about the loss of your Callie today. I wish I had the right words to comfort you and make the pain goes away but unfortunately I do not. I can only offer my heartfelt condolences.

By reading your posts Callie was very well loved and taken care of by you and your husband and I am sure she knew how very much you loved her.

May you find the strength and peace to get you through this difficult time.

So so sorry to hear about Callie, you did everything in your human power to help her, what a terrible week this has been for a number of these precious dogs being claimed by this awful disease.

I was so touched by the way she looked up at each of you, that was her telling you 'I love you both and thank you for loving and caring for me all my life'

I pray that God brings you comfort at this time.
