My Calamity lost her battle on 30 Sep. It seems with her immune system being compromised cancer set in. Prednisone kept the signs and symptoms of the cancer at bay until her dosage was lowered (she was down to 5mg/day). The cancer had gotten into her brain and was causing seizures and at least one stroke. I couldn't see my baby suffer any more and I had to let her go. I pray for all your fur babys still suffering. God bless you all for all your kind words and support.

Allie, I'm truly sorry to hear about your recent loss. If you need someone to chat with, please don't hesitate to email. I lost my Murf 2 months ago and it still hurts, but it's when you just came out of it that you need someone to hold you up, literally. Our prayers are with you. Chrissie

We are so sad for your loss. If Calamity lived up to her name, I'm sure she was quite the character. Our heart hurts for your loss. We'll be thinking of you. melissa and tiggs

I found that telling stories of happier times helps. Like the time she took down the Christmas tree in one swift move. Crash! Bang! Ornaments everywhere, and one sad puppy staring at the mess with a look of "did I do that?" on her face. Or the time she tossed her chewy about 15 feet across the room and it landed in my friends cup of coffee. Poor little girl, she stood there with that deer in the headlights look not knowing if she should run or not. I was so impressed with the toss I stood up and cheered her on to try it again. :) She was wonderful and sweet...and always into something.

Virginia, I feel for you. Calamity was very young to have been taken away from you. It will be a week ago that our Maggie succombed to this terrible disease. I am so grateful to everyone that has listened, encouraged, hoped, prayed and cried with me. We are all here for you.
