I got Buster's blood work back and it looks great. His HCT is at 46.8. We are slowly weaning him from his prednisone. His energy is coming back, he now brings me his balls to play with, plays tug of war, and he is singing with me again. His ALK PHOS numbers are still very high,(1836)and his cholesterol is very high at 405. I am hoping all of this will even up when he isn't taking so many drugs. He was cut to 20mg of prednisone and 100mg of Atopica a day, also he is taking 10mg of azathioprine every 3rd day. The vets at U of I are being very careful with him. I am just so happy to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to all of you who let me ask questions and give me answers when I need them. You are all the BEST.

WOOOO HOOO Buster! That's great to hear! Are you using any sort of detoxer to help heal the liver? Denamarin? samE? Good to hear the vets are taking things slow. IMO this is one of the most important steps of the battle! Keep up the good work Buster & Ronda. Johnny & Tessy

Great work Buster! That's awesome news Ronda, keep up the good work. It is very important to reduce the meds slowly IMO, I certainly did this, and Millie is here with me today too! Keep us updated on Buster's progress, Sam & Millie.
