| Hi All, Just wanted to update and seek advice. As I stated eairler Bugy is refusing to eat. I called the Vet and we added an appeitate stimulate, but he still refused. On Thursday I started force feeding him baby food. I thought anything in his little stomache would help. We are still waiting for the final liver biospy results. The first two cultures didn't grow but the third one did. Bugy was put on a new antibiotic to help the infection that is brewing in his liver. Still not happy with the way he looked, skin and bones we returned to the Vet yesterday (Friday). Bugy now weighs 11.8lbs. In October he was 17lbs. They did blood work and surprisingly his PCV was 29 !!! They repeated liver bloodwork and some of his values where better then they where last week but some where worse. Anyway no one is sure why he isn't eating. He is keeping all his meds down even with no food. They suggested a feeding tube which I agreed to. The thought now is finding the right antibiotic to fight the liver infection with the hope that this may be why he isn't eating. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone ? I really want Bugy to fight and survive but still not sure if I'm doing the right thing. Lisa :( |
