| Hi All, Just wanted to give an update on my little Bug. We had our weekly PCV and great news it was 40 !!! Total solids where 7. Bugy looks so much better. He is much more alert and doesn't just sleep all the time. We have lowered his meds because of all the complications he has had. Bugy was diaginosed on 12/10 and its been a battle ever since. He has had just about every complications and then some. There where plenty of times I thought I was doing the wrong thing, but to see him now I'm so glad we did what we did. He still is not back to where he was before this diease but we are hopeful. His current meds are as follows: AM Meds 5mg Pred Baytril--ending on Sunday then we will do another urine culture on Friday PM Meds 5mg Pred 5mg Prilosic I am worried about his weight. Before this Bugy was 18lbs. At his lowest he was 9lbs. Yesterday he weighed in at 10.34lbs. The Dr has told me it takes a long time for the weight to come back and she is so happy with his recovery. It's really bad when you walk in the door and the whole staff yells "Hey Buggy" !! Just goes to show you how much time he's spent there. He does look better. At least he does'nt look like a skeleton and has a little weight on him--I just wish it was more. To all of you who are just started on this journey it really does suck !! We chose to fight and so did Bugy. I wish you all the best. Lisa :) |

| Great news Lisa it sounds like you have a little fighter on your hands just like our Cassie. We to were concerned with her weight because we thought with all the preds she was on and her continuous appetite of a bull elephant she would be the size of a house. Luckily though she only put on weight very gradually and at this time 5 months down the line she is back to the weight she was before diagnosis. Oh and by the way, she is also the star a t our vets and we get the same "Hi Cassie" every time we walk in. It just shows they care. Stay strong and big woofs to Bugy. Steve & Sue |
