| The wife took Bella in for her 2 1/2 week checkup... Her weight seems to have stabilized and she doesn't look as bloated as she had been due to the Pred. At any rate, her PCV was up to 38%, which the Vet said was at the low end of the 'normal' range.. WOOO HOOOO... Her retics were also up to 4.7% from 4.25 on her last check. We are holding steady on the aziothioprine right now, but we took the Pred down to 1/4 tab (2.5mg) daily. Next move will be to bump down the aziothioprine slightly.. This is the best she's been since 9/29/07 when she was first diagnosed! I also noticed she will now stand up to the couch and beg, so I'm making her do this a little more in efforts to gain back some of the muscle that she had to have lost over the last many months... She runs around outside more and more also.. which is GREAT to see. |

| This is great news, thanks for sharing. It's great news for you but gives those of us who still have very sick dogs some hope. Thanks! |
