Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Archie's 1st birthday

Hi All,
We celebrated Archie's first birthday on Monday, a day we never thought we could think ahead too a couple of months ago! He is doing really well and the meds are reduced to 2.5mg prednisilone every 3rd day now with no adverse affects.

Congratulations are in store for you and especially for Archie. One year is indeed a great milestone and almost med free. We all hope he continues down the road to full recovery.

Thanks to all who posted. Although we are thrilled with Archie's recovery I never forget the dogs and owners on this site who weren't as lucky. Archie is brilliant and he is discovering puppyhood albeit a bit late and getting up to mischief. It is super to see him playing with toys and chasing about as if he was a scalextric car!
