I concur! How is Kath and Mitch doing. Haven't heard from Gil and Phoebe in a very long time either. Out of sight, but not out of mind....How is Nollaig Kathleen?

Thanks for asking about my darling girl-Nollaig is still great in herself and eating up a storm etc.Her pcv has remained at 25/26 for the last 9 weeks or so,I am hoping it's just a temporary plateau and that it will slowly rise again- as long as it doesn't decline please God.So if you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers I would be most grateful Mardi.

I was also wondering about Gill and Phoebe too,I hope no news good news...

How is Butters?

Take care

I'm glad all is well with Nolliag and yourself. Butters is great. Typical 5 month old puppy. She is going through puppy obedience classes now. Just started. All is well and good here. Keep in touch. You and Nollaig are always in my thoughts and prayers. So many of the pups that were going through this disease when I first got onto this site have passed. I'm so happy Nollaig is strong and healthy. Take care.

Sorry, I only check in very infrequently now just so much going on.

Mitch is still fighting on and has a reasonable quality of life. His PCV and platelets both remain around 25 but he copes with that ok. I grieve for the dog he was once and yet am grateful that I do not grieve his loss.

He can maintain his levels on 6.5mg of prednisolone a day (he weighs about 7kg now - used to be 5kg pre evans).

Now 6 months since he became severly ill whether he will make it to his 6th birthday in May who knows.

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts,
Kath and Mitch

Kath,
I am glad you still have your wee boy and hopefully with enough time he will get back to the dog you remember. It is awful to watch what this disease and the meds do to them but everyday that you still get to hold them and tell them how much you love them is a treasure.
Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
Penny
Congrats to Nolliag as well, Kathleen.

Kath,

Thanks for the update. So so glad that little brave Mitch is still soldiering on,it's just as well he's a terrier not only by name but by nature.More importantly,it's great he has at the very least a reasonable quality of life...although I'm sure he gets extra spoiling which he'll be soaking up.
Hopefully he'll be eating that birthday cake in May!

Take care and best wishes to you both,

Kathleen and Nollaig
