| Hi guys, I have been unable to post for some time but I seem to be able to do it from work...yippee! I wanted to let you all know how my Golden Retriever Angelo is doing! He was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome (AIHA/ITP) in November of 2005 at the age of 10. In April of 2007 he was "med free" and has been ever since. He is now at the ripe old age of 13! Angelo is unable to walk more than a few steps now due to lots of problems with his rear legs/spine.He is on an NSAID, a pain reliever and lots of supplements but he is comfortable and happy and still as stubborn as a mule! I can honestly say that I don't worry about AIHA anymore and I hope and pray that you all are blessed to reach this point one day too. It was a LONG road for us and a tough battle sometimes but oh so worth it! Hang in there and I am thinking of you all and praying for your dogs. If I can continue to post here with no problems I will send a link to some photos of my most precious boy. He is in the last stage of his life so we are treasuring every day with him. | Jeanne, Sorry to hear Angelo is having problems with getting around but glad to hear he is doing well otherwise. Looking forward to seeing more pictures. Perhaps Aden will check in with some info for you of the alternative things she has done with Benson who has lost use of his hind quarters. I have to wonder whether this is just an age related problem for our AIHA dogs or whether the disease and treatment contributes to this problem? All in all though you have had your sweet boy for going on 3 bonus years. Best to you all Penny |

| good to hear Angelo has dominated AIHA, can't wait till we put it in our rearview also. you should try contacting Joanne and send her your IP address from the machine where you are blocked from. she can unblock you, it happens to me randomly when i post a word that is banned or something, it will block my IP and then they have to go in and unlock it. she will fix it for ya |

| Hi Jeanne Sorry to hear Angelo is having problems with his rear legs and spine. But it is so good that he has had no further problems with IMHA. I cant agree more when you say the battle was long but so worth it. Big hugs from Bertie and I. Lisa |
