Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - An other update on Kahlu

My boy is still doing the same, pink gums and being tired with some little bursts of energy every now and then. But I need to share what happened when my vet contacted Dr. Dodds. I decided to let Tutteli (my vet's first name, she has a Finnish background) make the call, because I can feel intimidated on the phone, since English is not my first language. Tutteli called me right after talking to Dr.Dodds and her very words were: What a woman! Dr. Dodds will be in Victoria on Vancouver island (were we are) in May and Tutteli will for sure go to hear her speak. Tutteli has learned so much from her in that short call. After this phone consultation, Kahlu is being put on a small dose of Thyroid meds and some supplements. Pet Tinic is not available, so we will give him the vitamins etc. that are in that product. We are on the right path with nutrition and all the medication he is given. Dr. Dodds felt quite positive and Tutteli was happy to get some qualified guidance. I am of course also very happy that there is hope. It would not have happened without this board! Thanks to all of You!!!
I am going for a nap now, because I am exhausted.
