Hello, Three years ago we lost our Gracie (cocker spaniel) to AIHA. A friend's cocker has just been diagnosed and has had one transfusion so far. Her PVC went from 14 to 25 then she went back down to 17 through the night. They are trying a second transfusion. I have not been active since we lost our Gracie. Has there been any new treatment that I could share with her. Any help is very appreciated. Joie

Dear Joie, I am so sorry to hear your friend's cocker has been diagnosed with AIHA. I am not sure that there have been too many advancements since you lost your Gracie three years ago, unfortunately. My Millie was diagnosed a touch over 2 years ago, and the treatment remains the same today as it was then. How is your friend's dog? Sam & Millie.

Dear Joie, Please check to see if the attending vet has prescribed low dose aspirin therapy to prevent inappropriate clotting. This would not have been as well known several years ago. my best patrice
