Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - ? about metronidazole dosage
| I posted in my other gas message about Wylie being prescribed metronidazole. The vet thinks she may have something going on an dprescribed her this. I wish I had looked at the bottle before I left, is 250 mg twice a day normal for a 50# dog? And I read it snot good for the liver? Wylie ALT has been high should I be concerned. Thanks Laurie |

| Laurie, This is what they prescribed for Holly and she is only 14lbs. It was prescribed 250mg every 12 hours. We only gave to her for 3 days and problem was solved. Holly's last ALT was 336 a little high also, but has been much higher in the past. Linda |
