Joanne Dickson has been a consistent supporter of the VetNet discussions on AIHA / IMHA and has acted as moderator of the AIHA forum for a number of years.
Joanne's support stems from her experiences with her own dog Meisha which was diagnosed with AIHA in 1992. Joanne has worked hard to help improve understanding of the disease and access to treatment.
The goal of the Meisha's Hope Canine Autoimmune/Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia Fund is to raise at least one million dollars to fund AIHA/IMHA studies.
Joanne's pages include success stories since 1998 with details of symptoms; diagnoses; and treatment schedules.
Meisha's Hope is working with the Morris Animal Foundation in the United States. The foundation was established in 1948 to help the funding of animal health studies at veterinary institutions worldwide to improve the health and well being of companion animals.
